Umwelt 07:32
Blind, sole truth built on lies Dread, bêtes noires surrounding Retreat, cower within comfort Deplete, weltenschauung diminished Vision narrows, fear overwhelms Revulsion, amygdala inflamed Impulse to destroy those misunderstood Trepidation begets hate begets bigotry Umwelt of cowards A vapid slurry excretes through pores Facile minds of proud boys Bravely ensconced behind flimsy walls Armaments of glowing screens Disempowered children Myopia of chauvinist conceit Anachronistic creed Of achromatic pride

Death Knell 10:01
Quaking, the din Of thunderous severance Sundered islands of frost Adrift in the expanse Once rich in vivacious life Now wastes of ashen bone The aqueous mixture warms Thermodynamic flows engulf Delicate structures Paragon symbiosis Dispelled by death's caress Ubiquitous pelagic ecology Diminished to noxious blooms Our legacy, our disgrace! White skeletal monuments Reminders to those who have seen The silent knell of unbounded demise A spiraling cycle of unbridled decay Penultimate collapse Our gift to posterity Deserts expand, consume Once fertile lands Diminished to barren dunes Our legacy, our disgrace White skeletal monuments Reminders to those who have lived The howling knell of unbounded demise A spiraling cycle of exiccated earth Penultimate collapse Our legacy, our disgrace!

Pipeline 06:38
Born with no choice But to serve a solitary life Raised through poverty Prepared for hell The chosen multitudes Bound for prison cells Valued commodities In black human bodies Striped indefinitely Enslaved for industry Impermeable pipeline Class war wages Black lives pay in full Compulsory admission Stripped of dignity A solitary life Condemned by racist policy Endless “War on Drugs” In razed communities Bled dry of humanity Pipelines burst Precincts can burn Prisons also crumble Beneath the rising tide No more time for words Slogans will never suffice With blood in the streets We all must fight

Besieged 12:35
Ashes fall like fresh snow Upon a barren earth Deathlike shadows Black skeletal trees As the roar fades Like memories of a people forgotten Tread marks retreat Across tombs of concrete and steel The monuments of hate The city burns The land of ten thousand dead Expunged from history A nightmare too surreal Better to forget then bare guilt Crumbling edifices A blight removed by shellfire Tombs for unwanted vermin A cleansing of history Rewritten to satisfy False narratives of nationalist pride Silence falls once more As endless night settles And firelight subsides The city sleeps beneath ashen snow Hatred's grave embrace Upon the land of fourteen thousand dead Amongst deathlike shadows Crushed beneath steel treads The roar of shellfire fades Only tombs of concrete and rebar remain The city burns The land of fourteen thousand dead Expunged from history A nightmare too surreal Better to forget then bare guilt Silence falls once more As endless night settles An firelight subsides The city sleeps beneath ashen snow Hatred's grave embrace Upon the land of fourteen thousand dead Amongst deathlike shadows Crushed beneath steel treads The roar of shellfire fades Only tombs of concrete and rebar remain

about

Good music is a reflection of the people who make it. That’s why music is a universal language. If the person or people creating it truly crack open their being and spill it out on the stage or studio floor, no cultural difference or language barrier can stop the listener from hearing the essence of a musician’s spirit at the core of their songs. Within the cosmically weighted doom Dispossessed present on "Examinate", the depths from which the songs have been drudged is apparent when the first crushing chord sounds. These aren’t passive tunes influenced by their favorite bands, these are intimate journeys.

The four tracks on "Examinate" are drenched in darkness, burdened riffs, and ghastly vocals delivered at molasses speeds. Sadness and despair is definitely prevalent throughout, but it doesn’t bring the listener down. The vibe is one of empowerment. Considering the subject matter at hand, giving the listener license to absorb "Examinate", the inspiration to think about its content, and tightly close their fist is paramount.

"Examinate" serves as a devastating call to arms. It is a towering monolith of doom with the intent to awaken the world to the ugliness of mankind, but also provide the fuel and spark to combat it.
